YOUR DRESS
Thank you for choosing your dress from Knutsford Wedding Gallery
What happens now?
You will have kindly paid your 50% non-refundable deposit to us. This now enables us to order your dress with the Designer.
We will endeavour to have your dress delivered about 8 weeks before the wedding. Sometimes it is delivered earlier depending on the Designer’s stock of fabric and schedules. Please note even if delivered early the remaining balance is due when your dress arrives into store and is to be paid within 2 weeks of this date by bank transfer or via card payment.
Upon arrival of your dress we will email you to let you know it has arrived and arrange a mutually convenient first fitting or styling appointment.
Collecting your Wedding Dress
We will supply you with a dress cover. We also have some beautiful decorative storage and travel boxes available for you to purchase should you require.
We would advise you to pick your dress up as soon as it is ready or we can store it for you on our premises until nearer your wedding – this may be subject to a storage charge dependent on the timescale required.
YOUR SAMPLE DRESS
Thank you for choosing your sample dress from Knutsford Wedding Gallery
You will have kindly paid the full amount for your wedding dress which then enables us to remove it from the shop floor and you can take it home immediately or whenever is convenient; or we can store it safely for you here on the premises – there may be a charge payable for this service dependent on the amount of time to be held. The dress is now your property and you are welcome to come and try it on anytime and we can arrange for any alterations to be completed. The full amount paid is non-refundable.
WEDDING CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of a wedding cancellation we have the following policy:
When the order is placed with the designer we have a contractual obligation to purchase the gown, absolutely no cancellations apply with the manufacturers.
Therefore in the unlikely event of a cancelled wedding, full and final payment MUST be made to Knutsford Wedding Gallery by the customer, and the dress is then your property for you to sell privately or to do with as you wish.
If you have purchased a sample gown in full then this is your property for you to sell privately or to do with as you wish. No refunds will apply in these circumstances.
We can provide you with some advice on private sales re websites etc.
Please note: We cannot sell your gowns for you due to storage space within the boutique and the VAT implications that apply.

Any ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE quoted by the Seller is approximate only and whilst the Seller will always use their best endeavours to ensure Goods are available by the date on the order form, they do not accept responsibility for late delivery caused by circumstances beyond their control including postal delays or the actions or omissions of their suppliers.
All DESIGNERS reserve the right to modify their designs. This is beyond the control of the Sellers but should it occur, as much notice thereof as is possible will be given to the Purchaser. All sample dresses give a guide to colour and whilst every effort is made to match material and trim with the sample, as fabric colours may vary between batches, the Seller cannot guarantee exact matches.
There is an optional ALTERATION SERVICE available, payment in respect of which is made DIRECT to the seamstress and is SUPPLEMENTARY to the cost of the garment. It may not be possible to alter the garment and maintain the integrity of the original shape and design of the garment if the party for whom it was made has changed in size significantly. In all such circumstances we recommend that the Purchaser discuss alterations directly therefore with the Seamstress. The Purchaser understands that the Seamstress requires that the underwear and shoes intended for the wedding day be worn for the fittings. The Seamstress will recommend the appropriate alterations to the gown but if the client insists on a different fit than recommended on any garment, it is done at the Purchaser’s own risk. Equally the Seller will not accept responsibility for garments not fitting as a result of the party for whom they were originally made increasing or decreasing in weight and/or size by the time the garment is ready for collection. Any alteration to the original design shall be taken at the Purchaser’s own risk.
The CLEANING of any garment will be at the risk of the Purchaser and the Seller accepts no responsibility for the actions or omissions of any services they have recommended.
Due to the delicate nature of wedding gown fabrics, the Seller cannot be responsible for any damage sustained AFTER collection, during or after the ceremony or whilst the garment is in storage off KWG premises.
Any order NOT COLLECTED within three days of the wedding date notified to the Seller will result in the Purchaser being charged a fee for storage of the garment. The outstanding balance remaining on the order including any monies due from subsequent subsidiary orders will also be subject to a storage charge.
If any order is NOT COLLECTED within three days of the wedding date notified by the Purchaser, INTEREST at the rate of 4% over the base rate of Barclays Bank plc will be chargeable on any outstanding monies owed in respect of the order or any additions or extras thereto.
The Seller may offer goods for sale that are EX-SAMPLES and are displayed as such and may NOT be in perfect condition. The Purchaser should check that the goods are of satisfactory use for their requirements. If the Purchaser wishes to use the optional alterations service the alterations clauses above apply. These goods must be paid for IN FULL and funds cleared prior to, if applicable, the seamstress making any alterations before collection of the Goods.
PHOTOGRAPHY- we reserve the right to post / re-post professional images on our social media and website provided to us by the bride or associated wedding suppliers.
All goods must be paid for IN FULL and all funds cleared prior to collection. Full and final payment is evidence that the goods are of the standard required, the purchaser is therefore advised to check the goods prior to payment.
OWNERSHIP of the Goods remains with the Seller until FULL & FINAL PAYMENT has been received and cleared through normal banking procedures. Any costs incurred by the Seller as a result of funds not clearing, for whatever reason, will be payable by the purchaser.
